MARCUS COOLEY |  Director, Production Designer, Producer

Marcus Cooley (born Oct 26, 1991) is an American Director, Producer, and Production Designer. Marcus works in Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA and recently opened a second office in Nashville, TN. Marcus also works regularly in Los Angeles, San Fransisco and San Antonio.

HISTORY

Marcus Cooley has been working in Art Department since he stepped into the industry. He got his start working as a studio utility in set construction and that was quickly followed by working in carpentry, plaster department, scenic department, and set-dec. 

After a stint of working in pre-production construction departments Marcus began working as a graphic designer with a focus on branding and prop design. He also spent some time working on-set Art Department on Survivors Remorse, numerous commercials and features such as the the Golden Globe and Academy Award Nominated Feature film, SELMA. Marcus also gained experience in lighting design, grip and rigging on pictures like Fast & Furious 7, Devious Maids and Marvel Studios, AntMan. 

Collectively Marcus skills landed him into PropMastering feature films such as Hot Summer Nights and scripted television series like USA's Complications and the Teen Choice Awards Breakout Series nominated show for 20th Century Fox/Lee Daniels musical drama, STAR (Pilot, Season 1 & 2).

CurrentIy Marcus works as a Production Designer, Producer and Director based out of Atlanta and Nashville specializing in commercials, branded content and music videos.

Marcus is also a Partner and Executive Producer with 'World Renegade Music' an independent Atlanta-based record label.

Marcus enjoys adding new destinations to his passport, hike, explore everywhere he visits, snowboard, and spend time with his family.

In addition to Producing and Directing, Marcus also specializes in building turn key art department solutions for other creative agencies, studios and physical production entities. Marcus has over 10 years experience in Art Department and has a roster of Production Designers, Producer, Directors, Art Directors, Set Decorators and Lighting Designers that collectively work together on a regular basis. He hand picks from the roster to build a team that will be best suited for your special event, commercial, branded content or music video.
